Jellies at the beach!

We had the privilege of hanging out with a dear friend, "Uncle Mark," from Texas this last week. He was traveling up to Oregon to see a friend and we convinced him to take the train up to come see us while he was all the way out west. (We actually offered to drive down there, but he insisted that he do the traveling, kind friend that he is. For some reason he thought traveling 2-3 hours in the car with a 3 year old and a 2 month old would not be easy or fun for us.)

While he was in town we had time to head over to the beach.

This was our first time at this particular beach and we were excited to share the experience with our great friend. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon but it was still a bit chilly for July--notice the sweaters?

Little did we know we'd see 20+ jellyfish washed up on the shore and have a little science lesson while there. Thankfully they did not sting. Thankfully they were not alive.

Thankfully Daddy Bear was not REALLY trying to eat the Jelly.

Though, I think Uncle Mark was. :)

We knew it was time to go when Daddy Bear started "skipping" the jellies.

We will definitely be back. And we hope "Uncle Mark" will to.
