Little Bear Learns a New Instrument

One day last month, we were at Grandma Bear's house helping to clean and organize and found a cornet (like a trumpet) that belonged to Little Bear's Uncle Scott. Daddy Bear picked it up and began playing it like a pro, as he does with any and all new instruments, but we were shocked at how quickly Little Bear was able to do the same. The first note came out like any regualar adult's first note would! Our suspicions were confirmed. We have a little musician on our hands!

Family visits

Our time is quickly running out with our friends and family who live close by as our BIG move draws nearer. We decided we should make a trip to see our grandmas and other relatives one last time while we are still just a road trip away, so in January, we did just that.

We got to see Little Bear's Great Grandma in Iowa

Cousins we hadn't seen in years

Baby cousins we hadn't met (LB loved helping get the baby dressed--let's hope his adoration of babies lasts past May!)

Great Aunts and Uncles

And Great Grandma in Kansas

We had such a wonderful time with everyone and try not to think about how far away we will soon be. We are taking each day as it comes and savoring every moment we get to spend with friends and family when we are with them. And fully expecting to see them all again SOON!

First sled ride!

We thought we weren't going to see snow this year but we've now had two snowstorms and Little Bear even got to go sledding for the first time with his Great Uncle!

I think we feel like our snow cup has been filled and we're ready for our cross-country move...well, sort of. :)
