Two weeks ago we had the wonderful opportunity to visit the beautiful Portland, Oregon and our awesome family! It was Little Bear's first plane ride which made it even more exciting. He seemed to enjoy himself. His love for airplanes really helped! Except when we were in the terminal...the people all stared gapingly as he made his airplane noise over and over and OVER as loudly as he could. You could tell they were thinking (or praying), "Please don't let my seat be near him, please don't let my seat be near him."
Mama Bear loved meeting her very 1st nephew and introducing Little Bear to him!
Little Bear enjoyed meeting his very 1st first cousin! He was very sweet to him...this time.
And Daddy Bear held his 1st nephew ONE time and said, "I've forgotten how to hold a baby." It is hard to remember that Little Bear was ever this small, or smaller!
We went for a little hike to the top of a..."volcano?" Really Portland?
We had breakfast with our dear friend, Peter.
We had afternoon snacks with Little Bear's Great Great Uncle Tom and Great Great Aunt Dorine.
Overall, the trip was grand and we had such a nice time visiting Mama Bear's brothers,
our sister-in-law, and our precious nephew, Nicholas!
The only downside was the little stomach bug Benjamin found somewhere and decided to bring home with us on Friday. He somehow made it through both plane rides without losing what little lunch and dinner he ate though so we were pleased with that outcome!
At the end of the trip, I can easily repeat the words I've often said:
"What a blessing it is to have family!"
Thank you, Lord.
